WIMBLEDON, England – Wimbledon is a tournament that always gives off a majestically royal feel, it has an air of prestige, royalty, tradition and a fairytale sadness when it all ends and this year, it was Roger Federer and Serena who were once again seated on their royal Wimbledon thrones as the king and queen of the historical tournament.

For the two tennis stars it was a case of history repeating as the two proud champions were reignited once again for the traditional champions’ ball which was held on Sunday evening at the InterContinental Park Lane Hotel in London.

Serena Williams looked glamorous in a beautiful, tight-fitting gold dress with sheer sleeves, which matched the colour of her coveted trophy that she won on Saturday afternoon.

Roger Federer arrived in a traditional black tuxedo with his biggest accessory – his delighted smile after being crowned champion of the tournament for the seventh time.

The sporting stars posed for photographs together clutching their prized possessions and their happiness was clear for all to see, to be back at the top of their game and once again one of the players to be feared on Tour.

Andy Murray was not in attendance at the event and it is thought that he opted to head back to his home in Surrey with his family and team, where hopefully he will reflect on fantastic, magical two weeks of his life.
