US Open champion Serena Williams tops prize-money ranking

Serena has earned 12 million more than sister Venus, in the prize-money rankings. Kim Clijsters in third place.

The victory at the U.S. Open, has presented an extra special present for Serena other than the trophy, it also comes with the added bonus of a $1,858,054 pay check, nearly two million euros. The American, thanks to this large sum, has exceeded $40 million in prize-money gained during her career. Serena leads by far in the ladies rankings and below you can see the top ten ladies:
